Judie Jayson

Judie Jayson (5).jpg

Judie came from a theatrical family and made her first stage appearance at the age of three! She later trained as a ballet dancer but went on to specialise in what ToCo calls “acrobatic” dancing (hm. Had pole dancing been invented as early as 1960?). She was a professional photographic model (as evidenced by her position in the Top Ten of ToCo models), an actress (with juvenile leads in several pantomimes) and had a good singing voice (heard at gigs in Cy Laurie’s jazz club). So this versatile stunner from Surrey could do a great deal more than flash her stocking tops and knickers at you. Though no prizes for guessing which activity we prefer.

Judie featured regularly in ToCo publications, making her first appearance at the age of 18. She also did some TV advertising work and took part in beauty competitions, presumably to get her name known in the early days – to say nothing of her legs and figure, which she kept in trim with swimming, ice skating and tennis. And she nurtured her creative talent by painting – pictures, that is, not garden fences.

She seems to have had a liking for frothy petticoats, but not much else seems to be known about Judie, apart from the fact that she may have been ‘discovered’ while working as a temp in the early days of her modelling/acting career. And that she lived “just round the corner” from the ToCo office.

But, to me at least, she always had the air of ‘the professional’ in her poses and never really exuded the ToCo girl-next-door hallmark sense of naughty fun, despite her many appearances and 6th position in the model rankings.
