Eve Meyer

Born as Evelyn Eugene Turner in Griffin, Georgia in the deep south of the USA. She was married (1952-1969) to the American equivalent of Harrison Marks, Russ Meyer, famous for his porn movies pillow-breasted American model.

Eve was a model in the ‘50s, hugely popular for her sultry looks, blonde locks and burgeoning breasts. In June 1955, Hugh Hefner personally selected her as Playboy’s Playmate of the Month (photographed by her husband), but she appeared on the covers of all the major American girlie mags. She starred in many of Russ Meyer’s films and went on to become producer of many more, including Beyond the Valley of the Dolls.

Her life was cut tragically short at the age of 48. Along with 334 other souls, she was killed when her Pan Am Flight 1736 collided on take off with KLM Flight 4805 at Tenerife airport on the Canary Isles. It was the worst air disaster in history.
